The PS4 is not just Call of Duty: Black Op III, Fallout 4’s or things like Super Meat Boy on the other of the spectrum as the system has been out for a while it’s been getting titles the fall somewhere in between the big blockbusters or the indies with things like the game I’ve just been playing thanks to Risisng Star Games in Kromaia Omega.
Kromaia Omega is a Shoot 'em up or SHUMP which things like Radiant Silvergun come to mind which is a vertically scrolling shooter where Kromaia Omega is set in a 3D 360 ° environment closer to Star Fox then a traditional SHUMP.
When you start the game of you get an intro then on the menu you’ve got a few options which at first I thought I’d put the game in the wrong language but it uses its own in game one.
There’s a extras which included likes a score attack mode but I went straight into what seems to be the story mode, the game loads and there is a bit of a tutorial whilst doing so.
Then into the main game which infuse this unique language into the VO to make the game feel more futuristic well 1980’s futuristic, the setting reminds me on Tron with big colorful square blocks in the world you go through along with ancient temple ruins which to me feel out of place just floating there in space.
On playing you control your ship and you have to pass through Nodes on 4 stages to fight a boss then you unlock new equipment which they you do the stages and you do this 4 times in total but I’m not 100% sure on that.
The audio on the game is really good and the thing I enjoyed the most with my time with Kromaia Omega, I’m not much of fan of the genre and this even if unique doesn’t make me want to play more.
