Eastasiasoft bring their latest game Lost Sea to the PS4 and various PC store fronts but first to the Xbox One which is the version I’ve been playing.
Lost Sea is in the style of a rogue-like with its overhead almost dungeon crawler style of play whilst on adventure game set on procedurally generated islands, within the perilous environment of the Bermuda Triangle.
At the start of the game you select your character from various designs then you’re put through your passes on the tutorial level which explains the game.
In the game you go around islands to find crew members who can help carry items, pick locks, mine for treasure and the most important thing to find stone tablets which are used to proceed on to the next island and so on in till you get to the boss island at the end to complete the zone.
The zones range from tropical to snow, all this leads to your escape from the Bermuda Triangle. If you die however you have to start over but the next character you play as is enhanced based on how far you got, how you leveled up your ship & character in the previous life.
Overall the game has a nice soundtrack and art-style but simple controls and idea which may have been more suited to a mobile then on a console.
If you are just looking for a simple adventure to tide you over to the next big game, then Lost Sea might be worth a download.
